Community Engagement

The Community Engagement program seeks to involve youth and young adult constituents with the work of MCC by providing initial connecting points to peace & justice projects.

  • Chalo is a short-term exposure & service experience in Saskatoon for people aged 13-30.

  • Get the Picture!: Films for Change. Films are capable of exposing our failures as a society, as well as inspiring radical avenues for change. Get the Picture! is a monthly event where MCCS screens important movies and documentaries on social and environmental issues.

  • Kid’s Club is a drop-in program for mostly refugee, new immigrant and Aboriginal kids in the Meadowgreen neighbourhood. This program runs 6:30 to 8:30 every Wednesday night, and it is always looking for volunteers; if you want to get involved, contact Myriam or Dana at 665-2555.

  • Keeping Tabs is a monthly MCCS newsletter for youth and young adults. It includes updates on MCCS youth programs, announcements for related events, and provides other suggestions for how to get involved. The latest copy is available for download in PDF format here, and you can find older issues here.
